GustBuster Umbrella
Golfers love the
GustBuster for a
simple but important
reason. It doesn’t turn
inside out no matter
the strength of the
wind. The company

Getting a gift for golfer is simple, right? Just swing by
the local big box retailer and pick up some golf balls
and you’re done. Not true.

Also most people know those naked lady tees and “R”
rated insulated cups really lack class. Plus how do
you know which golf ball matches the golfer’s game
and don’t even think about a driver that requires a
fitting or something reflecting strong personal
preference like a golf bag.

So the question remains what to give a boss or in-law
or even a spouse who is an avid linkster without totally
breaking the bank or the Christmas budget.

Here a few suggestions covering range of prices.

It's that time of year again

Linda Hartough Golf Landscape
Here’s a really different idea, a golfing landscape
painting or print from Linda Hartough, the well known
golf-landscape artist. She even has the stamp of
approval from the USGA, who commissions her
annually to do paintings of the U.S. Open courses. In
addition to originals and prints there are note cards
and other Hartough items available. An example of
possible Christmas stocking fillers: the “8th Hole, The
Olympic Club,” a limited-edition on fine art paper print
and the 23rd in her U.S. Open series for $225.00 or a
limited-edition canvas giclée print (i.e. not done on a
printing press as most ‘prints’ but done with a high
density inkjet printer), the “12th Hole, 2008 ‘Golden
Bell’, Augusta” at $750.00.
It’s getting to be the time of
year that playing golf gets
to be a serious challenge
due to the weather and
Etonic’s Perfect Fit brand
of gloves can provide the
answer.
First there’s the All Weather model
made with a proprietary micro fiber
material and a Cabretta thumb, palm
patch and thumb. Available in white or
black the All Weather glove retails for
$12. The there are the fleece-backed
Winter Gloves for when its really cold
and the Rain Gloves that have special
fabric that actually works better when its
wet than when its dry. Both retail for $20
per pair.
UN-Flippable, UN-Flappable, UN-Leakable umbrella
in the world.” A patented set of vents means the
umbrella will withstand winds up to hit 55 mph at
which point you shouldn’t be on the golf course any
way. Pricing for a 62” model is about $40 and for a 68”
about $45.
Caddy Towel
I know. I know. What’s with a
towel, I mean a golf towel is
something you “borrowed” the
last time you stayed at a
Holiday Inn or maybe its one
of those junky favors from a
member-guest two years
ago…be honest.
Emphatically not true for the Club Glove Caddy Towel,
a microfiber waffle textured wonder that holds three
times its weight in water and really cleans your clubs.
Tour players and caddies rave about it and it has
several nice features like the generous size (17” x
40”) and an eight inch slit in the center for hanging on
your clubs or bag. For $19.95 this is a great gift and
you might just like it so much you buy one for yourself.
