Callaway Golf’s new Big Bertha Diablo driver is being touted as having
lots of distance with all the technical bells and whistles; however the most
prominent feature is the price. At $299 the Diablo is significantly less than
the company’s other offerings the FT-iQ and FT-9, both of which come in
at $400.  True the Diablo is a more traditional shape than the higher end
Callaway drivers but what the heck, a hundred dollars is a hundred
dollars.

What Callaway Says:
"100% titanium for explosive power and distance with a wicked new
attitude. Airmail your playing partners. That’s your first thought on the tee
box. And the all-titanium Big Bertha Diablo Driver will help you do it,
bringing wicked power and distance to go along with the generous sweet
spot. Our new Edge Technology provides a high Moment of Inertia (MOI)
and an optimized center of gravity (CG) location for Draw or Neutral
models, so you get long, penetrating ball flight with the shot shape you
desire. Hyperbolic Face Technology in a titanium face cup increases ball
speed across the entire face for more distance, even on miss-hits.

Edge Technology also helps golfers square the clubface at impact,
especially when swinging aggressively. The Big Bertha Diablo Driver
performs like no other all-titanium driver we’ve ever created. After all, long
is good, but longer is better. So go ahead, knock the hell out of it."

The Diablo comes in either a draw or neutral head shape and a Tour
model which has a full length hosel and sells for and additional $150.
