If you have been following the news Cobra Golf is no
more, sold by Acushnet to PUMA AG who have formed a
new entity, COBRA-PUMA GOLF but the two brands will
for now at least be continued to be developed
separately.

In recent years Cobra, which remains based in Carlsbad,
Calif., had been getting lots of attention for not only its
Baffler line of utility clubs/hybrids but for their S2 family of
drivers. Puma, primarily shoe makers, will remain in
Boston, Mass.

Cobra has sponsored on Tour presently Camil Villegas,
Ian Poulter and J.B. Holmes with well known announcer
David Feherty as a spokesman. Puma has Rickie Fowler
and Anna Nordquivst sporting their shoes and fashions
on the PGA Tour and LPGA Tour respectively.

In the product department Cobra recently introduced the
Baffler Rail Hybrid and the Baffler Rail Fairways which
according to the company feature:
Oversize design with shallow face
Innovative rail sole
High-strength steel face with 9 point face technology

The Cobra Baffler Rail Fairway ($185) is available in 3/F
(15.5°), 5/F (18°), and 7/F (20°) models, with a Fujikura
Motore graphite shaft (Lite-55g, R-60g or S-60g flex) and a
Lamkin grip. A women’s model is available in 3/F (18°),
5/F (20°), and 7/F (22°) models, with Fujikura Baffler Rail F
graphite shaft (women’s-50g flex) and Golf Pride grip.
