There are dozens of putters
introduced each year, some good,
some not so good, but the new
HotRod putter shown for the first time
at last week’s PGA Merchandise
Show is one you ‘gotta’ see.
The asymmetrical head is shaped
like a free-form flame and will attract
attention every time you take it out of
the bag. According to Fred Knecht of
HotRod the open body mallet style,
“…merges style and performance in a
way never attempted before. It brings
new feel, focus and style to the most
challenging and intricate part of the
game.”
At 372 grams the HotRod is bit
heavier than some other putters but in
combination with the high MOI head
design (i.e., lots of resistance to
twisting at impact) those that have
tried it say it produces great results.

This One You Gotta See
During the Merchandise Show the HotRod booth had thousands of visitors gawking both
at the show-stopping putter and a vintage Mustang GT, a crowd pleaser by itself.
The HotRod putter is available in four different finishes, chrome, nickel, black chrome and
simulated flame with a variety of shaft lengths. The MSRP is $199 at HotRodPutter.com
and it will soon be available at green-grass and retail outlets.
