Golf News & Opinion
Aug. 25, 2008 - Dixon Golf this past January launched a new
ball with a distinctive marketing approach…it’s ‘green.’ That
is, it can be recycled.
In fact Dixon Earth dozens come with a return pouch to
facilitate sending back used balls for recycling. You even
receive a dollar credit for each towards the purchase of
more Dixon Earths which retail on the company web site for
$39.95 a dozen.
Although we’ve not tested the recyclable Dixon Earth against
other brands Dixon says performance is as good as other
two-piece and even some urethane cover three-piece balls.
I guess this is a worthwhile idea and they are really trying to
address a problem going so far as to make the packaging
from recycled paper.
